Really? Its that easy? Just a different type of boullion?? I'll give it a try! Mexican has been at the top of my pregnancy cravings list, so this will go in that queue! ha!
YUM! Looks very appetizing & what a great post! I don't cook Mexican that often & would be nice to try out this awesome recipe for my family! Thanks for sharing! Have a nice day, Serena! :)
This looks amazing! I like your little helper. My boyfriend has trouble even making canned soup. It's ok though, he's learning :p
Hi! Can i please ask you what brand is the rice from this recipe?
I used the Trader Joes Brand. It's not authentic at all but Jasmine Rice works well because of the grain and smells delicious as another option.
This makes me want to try making homemade Mexican style rice. Thanks for the recipe. Theresa @DearCreatives
The secret to Mexican fried rice is to fry it in lard, then do the rest. Very, very, lightly brown but do not burn the rice. Once the liquids are added, set aside, do not stir. Do not stir ever while it adsorbs the liquid. My wife has tried other oils to make it more "healthy" but the results were always unsatisfactory. She made huge amounts of rice when she worked at her father's taco house.
I love mexican rice that has layers of flavors and this recipe does not disappoint. It is really delicious and has wonderful textures as well as flavors and color!
what could i use instead of the knor chicken w tomato bullion cube ? it has MSG and Palm Oil; BOTH are not good for you !!
Real flavor
