When I was in Girl Scouts, we had some wonderful troop leaders who spent a lot of time teaching us to be resourceful and creative.
We made butter from scratch, learned to sew, and replanted trees in an area that needed it; but one of my favorite things was when it was time to sell cookies.
I loved the fact my Granny would stock up on Thin Mints® for an after lunch treat or dessert.
It's one of those cookies you can never tire of.
So when I was having a craving for Thin Mints® the other night, I used my smart cookie skills that I
learned in Girl Scouts to make a Life Hack for a quick Hot Fudge Sauce... what's not to love?
Coffee-mate® Girl Scouts® creamer in Thin Mints® flavor is the perfect addition to my morning coffee. I can never pass on Girl Scouts® cookies and now I can enjoy all the delicious cookie taste, all year long!
It makes rolling out of bed a whole lot easier.
To make Coffee-mate® Girl Scouts® Thin Mints® Flavor Hot Fudge Sauce all you need is 1/2 cup Coffee-mate® Girl Scouts® Thin Mints® Flavor Creamer and 1 cup Chocolate Chips.
Stir over medium heat until chocolate is melted and smooth.
Serve over the top of your favorite ice cream or drizzle over the top of your morning coffee for an extra special treat.
So good I promise it won't disappoint!

- 1/2 cup Coffee-mate® Girl Scouts® Thin Mints® Flavored Creamer
- 1 cup Chocolate Chips
- For Serving: Ice Cream
- In a small saucepan add Coffee-mate® Girl Scouts® Thin Mints® flavored creamer and Chocolate Chips.
- Stir over medium heat until melted and smooth.
- Serve over your favorite ice cream.

Using the shower caps from hotels for large bowl covers!
Glued magnets onto clothespins, stamped cute phrases on the clothespins and use them tohang precious photos on my refrigerator.
My favorite life hack is using lemon to clean the inside of the microwave it works great and you aren't using harsh chemicals.

Using a paper plate as a splash guard when using a hand mixer!
My favorite hack to make extra crispy bacon with less fat is to flip over a microwaveable bowl and put it on a plate. Cover the bowl with paper towels and then lay the bacon over the bowl and top with another paper towel. As the bacon cooks the grease falls into the plate!
What a brilliant idea, mint and chocolate and ice cream go so beautifully together. This sauce would be such a winner!

Windex to clean off stickers on books bought from a used bookstore. Makes them look like new and doesn't ruin the covers!
Use coffee filters in the bottom of plant containers so the dirt and rocks don't fall through the holes in the bottom.

I buy large bags of snacks (goldfish, etc) at Costco, then bag them in snack sized Ziploc bags. Even with the cost of the bags, they are way cheaper than buying the individual serving packages. Then I put all the healthy snacks together in a drawer, so that the kids can just go pick whatever they want, and I know it will be something healthy. (BTW: I love your blog so much!)

MMM.. ice cream! Life hack tip: I put essential oil in the vacuum cleaner filter so my house smells a little less like burning dog hair after vacuuming!
Wow, I can't wait to try this on some ice cream!!! My life hack...I like to use vinegar solution for cleaning just about anything. I don't need to buy a different cleaner for every job. It works for cleaning pet stains too Fresh stains, never tried it on a set in stain. Just use 1/2 cup vinegar (regular, not apple cider vinegar) to 1/2 gallon warm water. Apply to spot liberally. Rinse with plain water. Repeat as needed until it's gone. The vinegar smell dissipates quickly and it doesn't leave a soapy residue. Plus the dog/cat won't be able to smell where the deed was done and re-spoil the area

My favorite life hack is laying out all the breakfast items the night before including spoons, etc. It makes mornings so much simpler and makes my children quieter. I also love to slice a lemon and put it in a bowl of water in the microwave to get rid of odors and make for an easy way to clean it.

You can remove wood stain from your hands with cheese. Yep, seriously - rub a piece of cheese (I used cheddar) on you hands and that wood stain comes right off!

I give each of our five kids two laundry hampers. Darks/lights. I do laundry for one person at a time. I no longer have to sort loads before washing and I do not have to sort things and ask "Who does this belong to?" when things come out of the dryer. I wish I had started doing this years sooner!

I don't bother cooking bacon on the stovetop at all, it's too messy and doesn't yield evenly cooked bacon sometimes. I put cooling rack inside one of my half sheet pans and lay the bacon on top of the rack. It cooks perfectly with the grease draining away and it stays nice and straight. I also like to line the sheet pan with foil to make for easy cleanup too!
I use Bounce dryer sheets for keeping away ants.
My life hack is using imitation vanilla and water to clean my microwave. Just put a TBSP of vanilla and 1 cup of water in a microwave safe bowl for 1 minute and 30 seconds and proceed to clean. All the food and gunk comes right off plus it smells great!
I add a 1/4 cup of vinegar with my laundry detergent to help disinfect germs in cold water.

My life hack is using small bottles that I can keep on top of my washing machine for all of my different cleaners and keeping larger refills on the floor. That way I have handy access to all I use but don't have to pay for the smaller bottles and can still get the good deals on the bulk sizes!

When giving your dog a bath and can't get their ears wet
use a shower cap on there head, with your cotton balls too.
They may look funny,but it really works. :-)
