Slushy frozen pitcher of Homemade Mango Margaritas made with frozen mango, tequila, and triple sec are great Margarita Recipe for parties like Cinco De Mayo. A little lime along the edge and then a dip in chili lime seasoning and pink salt enhances the flavor of the Mango Margarita.

Mango Margaritas are so easy to make and super refreshing for warmer weather and the perfect summertime cocktail recipe. They are surprising simple to make thanks to frozen mango chunks with a simple list of ingredients. I've been told these are the BEST Mango Margaritas but you'll have to be the judge of that.

Since it's Saturday, and I'm dreaming of the warmer days of spring I figure there's no better time then the present to share my favorite recipe for Mango Margaritas!

We made a pitcher of these Mango Margaritas last weekend to go with Fish Tacos with Blueberry Mango Salsa. It wouldn't be Mexican night without a Margarita!

Mango Margaritas are up there in my top 3 favs! I like to use frozen mangoes so they stay slushy, and don't loose flavor from too much ice.

I'll add a cup of ice cubes or additional frozen mangoes to the pitcher to help them stay cold longer. I find a few whole ice cubes melt a lot slower then once they are pureed, and prolongs the slushiness of the Mango Margaritas.

Here's how I make a pitcher of Frozen Mango Margaritas:

Our blenders on it's last leg so I had Colt use the Food Processor, but I usually use the blender.

Add to the blender or food processor:

  • 2 pounds Frozen Mangos
  • 1/3 cup Sugar
Fresh Lime Juice being poured over frozen Mango chunks in a food processor.

Juice 1 cup of Fresh Lime Juice, it's about 3 whole Juicy Limes.

Add lime juice to mangoes, and puree until smooth.

If you are using a food processor whatever you do don't add the alcohol at this point..

Pureed Mango with Lime Juice in a food processor.

If you are using a food processor whatever you do don't add the alcohol at this point.. Colt usually doesn't use the food processor, so he forgot their was a hole in the middle. He just finished adding all the liquid when I walked into the kitchen.. Two seconds later it started running out the bottom of the food processor, it was quite comical mess. So we grabbed a bowl to strain out the liquid.

If your using the blender everything can go in.

Margo Puree, Tequila and Triple Sec added to a large glass pitcher.

Add mango puree to a large pitcher.

Stir in:

  • 1 1/3 cup Silver Tequila
  • 1 1/3 cup Triple Sec
Until well combined. Add 1- 1 1/2 cups Frozen Mango Cubes or Ice Cubes to keep cold.

A slice of Lime being rubbed around edge of margarita glass.

Use a slice of Lime to wet the rim of glasses.

Margarita Glass being dipped into a Chili Lime and Pink Salt mixture on a white plate.

Mix together:

  • 1 tablespoon Chili Lime Seasoning like Tajin
  • 1 tablespoon Pink Himalayan Salt
Until well combined. Coat rim of glasses in mixture.

A side shot of 2 Mango Margaritas in a Margarita Glass.

Fill glasses and garnish with a slice of lime. Be warned if you used frozen mango instead of ice cubes  they seem to absorb the alcohol for a boozy little treat.

Cheers to a great weekend! Make sure to grab the printable version of the recipe below.
