I adore Chicken Cordon Bleu, but this easy skillet dinner takes it to a whole 'nother level. Chicken and ham are cooked in a creamy gruyere sauce, with Egg Noodles, and finished with a crunchy panko topping.
Did I mention start to finish it takes 20 minutes? As if all the other reasons weren't enough.
Creamy, cheesy, chicken, ham, and noodle deliciousness. It's the ultimate party for your mouth!
Add to a large pan or pot with a lid:
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 tablespoon Butter
- 1 cup Diced Onion
Add:
- 1 whole Chicken Breast Diced
- 1 1/2 cups Diced Ham
- 1/2 teaspoon Granulated Garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon Thyme
Stir in:
- 8 ounces Egg Noodles
- 2 3/4 cups Chicken Stock
- 1 cup Half & Half
Stir in 2 cups Grated Gruyere Cheese.
In a small pan toast:
- 1/2 cup Panko Bread Crumbs
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Butter
Sprinkle toasted panko bread crumbs evenly over the Chicken Cordon Bleu Noodles, and enjoy!

- 1 cup Onion, Diced
- 1 whole Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast, Diced
- 1 1/2 cups Diced Ham
- 1/2 teaspoon Granulated Garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon Thyme
- 8 ounces Broad Egg Noodles
- 2 3/4 cup Chicken Stock
- 1 cup Half and Half
- 2 cups Grated Gruyere Cheese
Panko Topping
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Butter
- 1/2 cup Panko Bread Crumbs
Instructions:
How to cook Chicken Cordon Bleu Noodle Skillet
- In a large skillet or pot with lid add olive oil,butter, and onion. Cook over medium-high heat until onion starts to brown. Stir in chicken, ham, garlic, and thyme. Cook until chicken is starting to lightly brown.
- Stir in noodles, chicken broth, and half and half. Cook for 5 minutes, and stir. Recover, and cook an additional 5 minutes, or until noodles are tender.
- Remove from heat, and stir in cheese, until melted.
- In a small saucepan toast panko bread crumbs with butter over medium heat, until golden brown.
- Sprinkle toasted bread crumbs over noodles, and enjoy.
