Chicken Noodle Skillet is one of numerous ways we love to enjoy No Yolks noodles. It's an easy to make dinner in under 25 minutes that always reminds me of Grannys Chicken Noodle Casserole. This is truly a family favorite with young and old alike but easier to make.
I love to use No Yolks because they are a healthy egg noodle alternative made from egg whites. They contain no cholesterol, are low in fat, and sodium making them a favorite for all my favorite noodle recipes like the Chicken Cordon Bleu Noodle Casserole Skillet using No Yolks Broad noodles I shared a few weeks back. We always keep a bag of Broad noodles on hand for a quick Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup, add to a Miso broth, and even French Onion to make it extra filling. The possibilities are endless.
Are you ready to make this family favorite Chicken Noodle Skillet?
In a large skillet with a lid add:
- 1 tablespoons Butter
- 1 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 2/3 cup Diced Onion
- 2 whole Diced Carrots
- 2 stalks Diced Celery
Stir in:
- 2 whole Diced Boneless Chicken Breast
- 2 cloves Minced Garlic
- 1 teaspoon Thyme
Sprinkle 3 tablespoons All-Purpose Flour over the top. Stir until well combined.
Slowly stir in 4 cups Chicken Stock until well combined.
Add 8 ounces No Yolks Dumplings, and 1 cup Frozen Peas. Stir until combined, bring to a simmer, and cover. Cook for 10 minutes or until pasta is tender.
I choose No Yolks for recipes like this because they are a high quality noodle that cooks up smooth, firm, and fluffy, but also maintains its texture in my favorite recipes without becoming mushy.
Stir noodles, and if sauce is still runny cook an additional 1-2 minutes with the lid removed.
In a pan toast 1/2 cup Panko Bread Crumbs in 1 1/2 tablespoons Butter, until golden brown.
Sprinkle toasted panko bread crumbs evenly over the top of Chicken Noodle Casserole Skillet, and enjoy!
